After Huntington’s HBC Saints squeaked by the Garden City Park Eagles United, 1-0, in the Arch Capital Group Cup semifinals on May 17, HBC dominated parts of the final with a 5-1 win over the New Hyde Park Tigers on June 7 at the Peter Collins Soccer Park in Plainview. The Eastern New York Youth Soccer Association (ENYYSA) Boys-Under-16 championship game was played between two Long Island Junior Soccer League (LIJSL) teams.
“Everybody came out to play today and we played to our potential,” said HBC coach Peter Vidulich.
Alex Bretossi had a three-goal hat trick, Cameron Petersen scored on a 35-yard golazo and Peter Mark Vidulich added the other goal for HBC.
