Tires Slashed, Cars Broken Into In Huntington Station

The tire slashings and car break-ins date back to January, with most of the incidents happening since September, police say.

HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — There has been a string of tire slashing and car break-ins in Huntington Station this year, Suffolk police said. Most incidents have happened since September but date back to January, police said.

Here is a list of reported incidents, police said:

  • Jan. 14: Three tires were slashed on a vehicle on Tasman Lane.
  • Sept. 16: A man rummaged through vehicle on Tasman Lane. It is not known what he stole, police said.
  • Oct. 16: Someone broke the window of a 2013 Audi on Rolling Hills Drive and stole a wallet containing credit cards.
  • Nov. 13: Tires slashed on a 2017 Buick on Tasman Lane.
  • Nov. 13: Someone slashed tires on a 2017 Chevrolet pickup truck on Cornehlsen Drive in Huntington Station.
