Town Of Huntington To Host Olympic Watch Party As USA Women Face Canada For Gold

The gold medal showdown will stream live from Clark Gillies Arena in Dix Hills

DIX HILLS, NY — Town of Huntington Supervisor Ed Smyth and the Huntington Town Board are inviting Olympic and hockey fans to gather at Clark Gillies Arena for a live watch party as Team USA takes on Canada in the women’s hockey gold medal game.

The highly anticipated matchup will be livestreamed inside the arena from puck drop through the gold medal finish, bringing the excitement of the 2026 Winter Olympics in Milan-Cortina directly to Dix Hills.

The USA and Canada women’s hockey teams have faced off for Olympic gold seven times as of the 2026 Winter Games. Since women’s hockey debuted at the Olympics in 1998, the longtime rivals have met in the gold medal game in every tournament except 2006. Canada currently leads the gold medal series with four wins, compared to two for the United States.
