Town Of Huntington Memorial Day Parades, Services

Several parades and ceremonies will be held to honor veterans for their service.

The Town of Huntington will honor veterans with several Memorial Day parades and commemoration ceremonies.

Wreaths will be placed at the World War I, World War II, Korean War, Vietnam, Women’s Veteran Monument to honor our troops in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.

The ceremony begins at 9 a.m. at 100 Main St. in Huntington.

The Half Hollow Hills High School East Blue Notes will perform. Refreshments to follow ceremony. For additional information, call Carol Rocco (631) 351-3012.

  • Centerport Fire Dept.— Harrison Drive to Park Circle at 10:30 a.m.
  • Elwood-Commack Post 9263 VFW— East on Jericho Turnpike to junction at Veterans Highway to Cannon Park at 10 a.m. Call 631 553 1371.
  • Greenlawn Fire Department— East Maple Road, South on Broadway to Memorial Park, Pulaski Road & Broadway at 9 a.m.
  • Northport American Leg. Post #694— Northport Village, North end of Laurel Avenue to Main Street to Harbor, Village Park at 10 a.m.
  • Knights of Columbus E. Northport Parade— Clay Pitts & Larkfield Road, North to Pulaski Road to John Walsh Memorial Park adjacent to East Northport Library at 12:15 p.m.
  • Melville Fire Department Memorial Service— service to honor deceased firefighters, and servicemen ad women from the Melville area at Melville Fire House, located at 531 Sweet Hollow Road at 10 a.m. Call 631 423 2635.
