Upscale Florida Coffee Brand Expanding To Huntington In 2026

The Florida-based boutique coffee brand will open in Suffolk and Nassau, marking its first expansion outside the Sunshine State.

HUNTINGTON, NY — Pilar Coffee Bar is heading north. The Florida-based boutique bistro will open three Long Island locations in 2026 — in Huntington Village, Roslyn and Elwood — marking the first stores outside its home state.

Founded by Long Island native Steve Giordanella, Pilar Coffee Bar debuted its flagship store in South Florida in December 2024. The concept, inspired by and named after Giordanella’s wife, was designed to offer what the company calls an elevated coffee experience that goes beyond the traditional café setting.

“We designed Pilar as a refined retreat from the daily rush and are thrilled to bring our concept to Roslyn, Elwood, and Huntington Village by partnering with franchisees who will expand on that vision,” Giordanella said. “We have no doubt that these communities will take to the space and appreciate the unique, inspiring experience that it embodies.”

The brand is known for its proprietary blend of premium, mountain-grown, internationally sourced beans, harvested in Brazil and Colombia. Its menu features specialty lattes, iced coffees, cold brews, and fresh teas, alongside customizable breakfast items, made-to-order sandwiches, salads and artisanal pastries.

Giordanella maintains deep ties to the region and also serves as managing partner of The Inn at New Hyde Park, a historic Long Island event venue. According to the company, the new Pilar locations will be franchised by local residents who share the brand’s focus on hospitality and experience-driven service.

Construction is underway on the Long Island stores. Two locations are expected to open before summer, with the third slated to debut before the end of the year.

The expansion is part of a broader growth plan for Pilar Coffee Bar, which aims to open several hundred locations nationwide.
