Voter's Guide: Huntington School Budget, Board Election
What you need to know for election day.

Huntington residents will vote on the school district’s $123,100,263 proposed budget for the 2016-17 school year on Tuesday, May 17.
The proposal calls for a 2.25 percent increase in spending over the current year and carries a 1.61 percent tax levy increase, which is within the state’s tax cap. It is estimated that the tax rate will go from $225.78 to $229.41 per $100 of assessed valuation, the school district reports.

Three candidates are running for three trustee seats on the Huntington Board of Education. Candidates include Bari Fehrs, Bill Dwyer and Carmen Kasper. Read more about the candidates here.
Residents can vote at Huntington High School. Polls are open from 6 a.m. to 9 p.m.
