Walt Whitman Held Homecoming on Saturday
The event featured a Hall of Fame ceremony, homecoming parade and football game.

Saturday marked the Walt Whitman Homecoming, complete with parade, in South Huntington.
The community inducted seven new members of the Hall of Fame at morning ceremony on Whitman’s turf field. This year’s hall of fame inductees included composer Christopher Cerrone, class of 2002.

The ceremony was followed by the homecoming parade and the annual football game at 2 p.m.
Some activities were rescheduled as the community coped with the tragic death of a member of its senior class.
