On the final day of the school year, Washington School Principal Marsha Neville recognized a group of 16 students spanning kindergarten through fourth grade for having perfect attendance in 2012/13. Last year, 28 students never missed a day of school while 14 were perfect in 2011.
The youngsters honored last Friday include Lizbeth Almendarez, Noelle Boucetta, Trevor Cueto, Nathaniel Deegan, Michaela Dopico, Hector Erazo-Barahona, Cruz Flores-Andrade, Belendjy Geneus, Natalie Hering, Autumn Herkommer, Litzy Hernandez-Romero, Caroline McGreevy, Brandy Romero-Lino, Marilyn Santamaria-Galdamez, Andys Saravia-Ramirez and Isaiah Thomas.
Mrs. Neville read the names of the students over Washington’s public address system and presented each of them with a special achievement certificate. The group posed for a commemorative photo.

“This is a wonderful accomplishment and shows each child’s strong commitment to their education,” Mrs. Neville said. “They obviously love coming to Washington School!”
