Water Service Restored After Dix Hills Water District Malfunction: Town
Half Hollow Hills schools shifted to remote instruction on Wednesday after a water issue affected much of the area, officials said.
DIX HILLS, NY — Water service has been restored after a system-wide malfunction in the Dix Hills Water District left much of the area without water Wednesday morning, according to the Town of Huntington.
The malfunction caused the water tanks to receive a false reading on tank quantity, town officials said in a statement.
“The issue has been resolved, and water is now flowing normally,” the town said.
