The winner of the largest Powerball jackpot in history will walk away with $1.5 billion. The cash option would mean $930 million, according to lottery officials.
Technically the odds of winning the Powerball are 1 in 292,201,338. That means you’re more likely to get hit by lightning, flip a coin heads 28 times in a row, date a supermodel or be bitten by a shark.
Hopefuls have the chance to win with just $2 and a dream. Tickets cost $2 per game and they can be purchased until 10 p.m. Wednesday.
