Woman, 79, Pulled From Burning Huntington Station Home, Seriously Injured: Police
The resident was rescued from the Prospect Drive North home and taken to Huntington Hospital with serious injuries, police say.
HUNTINGTON STATION, NY — A 79-year-old woman was seriously injured in a house fire in Huntington Station on Wednesday afternoon, Suffolk County police said.
Second Precinct officers responded to a 911 call reporting a residential fire at 18 Prospect Drive North at about 3 p.m., according to police.
When they arrived, firefighters from the Huntington Manor Fire Department entered the home and rescued Linda D’Andrade, a resident of the house, police said.

D’Andrade was taken by ambulance to Huntington Hospital for treatment of serious physical injuries, police said.
No other injuries were reported.

Suffolk County Police Arson Unit detectives are investigating the fire. The cause is believed to be non-criminal, police said.
