Woman Stabbed In Face During Deer Park Dispute; 25-Year-Old Charged: Police

The woman is accused of stabbing a 43-year-old acquaintance during a dispute on Maida Avenue, police say.

DEER PARK, NY — A 25-year-old Deer Park woman has been charged with second-degree assault after police said she stabbed an acquaintance in the face during a dispute Tuesday morning.

Officers responded to 126 Maida Ave. around 11:49 a.m. after an altercation between two women who live in separate residences within the home, according to Suffolk County police.

Police said Tianna Jones stabbed a 43-year-old woman in the face during the dispute.

The victim was transported by ambulance to an area hospital with injuries that were not considered life-threatening, police said. Jones was not injured, police said.

She was charged with assault in the second degree and was being held overnight at the First Precinct. She is scheduled to be arraigned on Wednesday at First District Court in Central Islip, police said.
