Woman Used Fake ID To Steal $19K In Silver From Melville FedEx: Police
Police say the suspect used a fraudulent ID to pick up a package containing silver bars and coins before fleeing in a white electric SUV.

MELVILLE, NY — Suffolk County police and Crime Stoppers are asking for the public’s help to identify a woman accused of stealing a high-value package from a Melville shipping facility, police said.
According to Suffolk County police, a woman used a fraudulent identification card to pick up a package from a FedEx facility located at 270 Express Drive South on March 23 at approximately 5 p.m.
Police said the package contained approximately $19,000 worth of silver bars and coins.

After obtaining the package, the woman fled the scene in a white electric Chevrolet Equinox, police said.
Second Squad detectives are investigating the incident.

Suffolk County Crime Stoppers is offering a cash reward for information that leads to an arrest, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Crime Stoppers by calling 1-800-220-TIPS. Tips can also be submitted anonymously online at P3Tips.com or through the P3 Tips mobile app. All calls, texts, and emails will be kept confidential, police said.
