Crews Working To Fix Potholes In Town Of Islip

Which part of town do you think has the worst potholes?

ISLIP, NY – Town of Islip officials announced on Tuesday that Department of Public Works crews are addressing potholes throughout the Town.

The Long Island area has been experiencing mild and freezing temperatures, which contribute to the expansion and contraction of asphalt, thereby creating potholes.

“We take pothole repair very seriously in the Town of Islip," Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter said. "Unfortunately, they’re oftentimes responsible for flat tires or even worse, damage to automobiles.”
