Driver Robbed at Gunpoint After Being Boxed In By Two Vehicles

Police are searching for a white BMW SUV and a light colored sedan following an armed robbery on the Sagtikos State Parkway Thursday night.

According to police, a "confrontation" began on the eastbound Southern State Parkway near Exit 29–(Route 107), between a burgundy colored 2016 Land Rover, the BMW and the sedan at about 9:15 p.m. Thursday.

The encounter ended on the Sagtikos Parkway northbound ramp to the LIE eastbound service road, when the Land Rover was boxed in by the two vehicles and forced to stop. The driver of the Land Rover told police that a passenger exited one of the vehicles, brandished a gun and stole a handbag that was in the Land Rover.
