Four Arrested For Selling Alcohol To Minors In Town Of Islip

Police arrested the four during State Liquor Authority inspections on Saturday.

Four people were arrested for selling alcohol to minors during the State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspections on Saturday in the Town of Islip, according to Suffolk Police.

Police conducted six SLA inspections using an underage police agent, who purchased or attempted to purchase alcoholic beverages from random businesses.

According to police, the following businesses did not comply with the New York State Liquor Authority and sold an alcoholic beverage to an underage police agent:

· 7-Eleven located at 197 Main Street in East Islip

· USA Gas – Midpoint Mart located at 171 Carlton Avenue in East Islip

· Gulf Gas located at 660 Islip Avenue in Brentwood

· Shell Gas located at 701 Islip Avenue Brentwood

The investigation resulted in the arrest of Muhammad Amir, 52, of Bay Shore; Fatih Kir, 40, of Huntington Station; Egemen Isbilic, 20, of Smithtown snf Iftikhar Cheema, 65, of Brightwaters, police said.

The four were charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a child, police said.

They were issued Field Appearance Tickets and are scheduled to be arraigned at First district Court in Central Islip at a later date.

The following business complied with the New York State Liquor Authority law and refused to sell an alcoholic beverage to an underage police agent:

· 7-Eleven located at 2 East Main Street in East Islip

· 7-Eleven located at 500 Islip Avenue in Islip
