Gas Station Employee Charged With Selling Alcohol To Minors: SCPD

The 44-year-old was arrested during a state liquor authority inspection on Tuesday night.

OAKDALE, NY - A gas station employee was arrested for selling alcohol to minors during a State Liquor Authority (SLA) inspection in Oakdale on Tuesday night, according to Suffolk Police.

Due to numerous community complaints, officers conducted an investigation into the sale of alcoholic beverages and e-cigarettes to minors at multiple locations in the Fifth Precinct, police said.

Arif Yildirim, an employee of Valero Gas Station on 1628 Montauk Highway was arrested during the inspection, police said.

Yildirim, 44, of Deer Park was charged with first degree unlawfully dealing with a minor after he sold alcohol to a minor, police said.

  • Valero Gas Station on 1164 Montauk Highway in East Patchogue
  • Apple Green Gas Station on 770 Montauk Highway in East Patchogue

Yildirim will be held at the Fifth Precinct is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Wednesday.
