GUILTY: Long Island Man Who Climbed Through Bathroom Window, Raped 19-Year-Old
The 35-year-old will be sentenced on Oct. 2.

A Central Islip man was convicted on Wednesday for raping a 19-year-old Brentwood woman last year, according to Suffolk County District Attorney Thomas Spota.
After three and one-half hours of deliberations, jurors convicted 35-year-old Jose Gomez, of first degree rape, first degree sex abuse and second degree burglary.
“Gomez entered a home in Brentwood on September 1 of last year through a bathroom window and sexually assaulted a 19 year old female,” DA Spota said. “Her younger brothers were able to disrupt the rape and the defendant fled the scene.”
