Islip High School Students Recognized For Community Service Work
Congratulations to all the students!

Four Islip High School students were recently honored for their participation in local community service.
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter along with local officials and members of American Legion Post 411 at hosted a ceremony to honor the students who participated in a statewide civics and citizenship competition.
American Legion Post 411 honored Bryan Harper, Ryan Lange, Robert Vonderahe, and Mamita Rahman for their work in 2016.

In addition for their participation in community service programs, they were honored for attending events that promoted civic activism.
Congressman Peter King and State Senator Phil Boyle were also at the ceremony to congratulate the students.

'These students exemplify the ideals of community service, and we're proud to recognize their achievements during this statewide competition,' Carpenter said.
