Islip Man Charged in Robbery Outside Lindenhurst Home
The robbery occurred early Sunday, police say.

LINDENHURST, NY - Two people were arrested after they robbed and assaulted a man in Lindenhurst early Sunday morning, police said.
Corrine Velasquez, 29, of East Islip, and James Johnson, 24, of Islip, are each charged with second degree robbery.
According to police, they punched and kicked a man outside a home on N. 9th Street around 2:30 a.m. Sunday. They also stole money and a cellphone from the man, police said.
"The parties involved knew one another," a police spokesperson told Patch Wednesday.
Velasquez and Johnson were arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Monday. Velasquez is being held on $10,000 bail. Johnson is being held on $35,000 bail. They are both due back in court on Friday.
