Islip Terrace Man Stole Over $50,000 From Fire District: DA

The 57-year-old worked for the district as a maintenance supervisor.

An employee for the Islip Terrace Fire District was charged earlier this month for allegedly stealing over $50,000 from the district, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney.

Perry Rocco, 57, of Islip Terrace, is accused of using fire district credit cards for personal use as well as falsifying Fire District business vouchers between December 2011 and April 2016, according to the DA.

He allegedly stole the money while working as the district’s maintenance supervisor.

Rocco pleaded not guilty to a charge of third degree grand larceny, the DA said.
