Islip Terrace Man Arrested, Charged In Fatal Stabbing: PD

ISLIP TERRACE, NY — Police have identified the man who stabbed and killed Roshane McLaren, 34, in an Islip Terrace home last week.

Eduardo Vega, 56, was arrested and charged on Sunday with second-degree murder, police said.

At about 2:40 a.m. on Tuesday, the two were engaged in an altercation outside their Manhattan Blvd. home, when Vega stabbed McLaren, police said.

McLaren was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore, where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Vega is to be arraigned on Monday at First District Court in Central Islip.
