Motorcyclist Killed In Central Islip Crash
The 20-year-old crashed into a car while it was making a right turn on Suffolk Avenue on Monday night.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A motorcyclist was killed in a crash in Central Islip on Monday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Mirtha Doria, 51, of East Islip, was driving a 2014 Honda CRV when her car was struck by a 2008 Yamaha motorcycle, driven by 20-year-old Marc Rivera, of Central Islip, as she attempted to make a right turn from Bella Casa Lane onto Suffolk Avenue, police said.
Rivera was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

Doria was also transported to Southside Hospital and was treated for non-life threatening injuries, police said.
The vehicles were impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
