Pedestrian in Critical Condition After Being Struck by Car
BREAKING: The 33-year-old was struck in Suffolk County on Sunday night.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY -- A pedestrian was critically injured after he was hit by a car in Central Islip on Sunday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Central Islip resident Gashell Morrison, 29, was driving a 2010 Hyundai southbound on Islip Avenue by Apricot Street at 8:12 p.m. when her car struck 33-year-old Carlos Castellon of Brentwood, who stepped into the roadway, police said.
Castellon was transported by Brentwood Legion Ambulance to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was listed in critical condition, police said.

Morrison was transported to Southside Hospital for evaluation.
The car was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
