Pedestrian Dies After Being Struck By Car
BREAKING: The driver of the car had a suspended license, police said.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was killed after being struck by a car in Central Islip early Sunday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
A 30-year-old man was walking on East Suffolk Avenue, near Powell Avenue at 2:20 a.m. when he was struck by a 2007 Toyota Prius traveling eastbound.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene by a physician assistant from the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner.

The driver of the Toyota, 36-year-old Sabrina Cadogan, of Central Islip, remained at the scene, police said.
She was arrested and charged with second degree aggravated unlicensed operation for driving with a suspended license, police said.

The vehicle was impounded for a safety check and the investigation is continuing. Detectives are asking anyone with information about the crash to contact the Third Squad at 631-854-8352.
