Pedestrian Killed After Being Struck By Car
The 41-year-old was hit while crossing East Suffolk Avenue in Central Islip on Saturday night.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was killed after being hit by a car in Central Islip on Saturday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Fausto Monterrosa. 41, of Central Islip was crossing East Suffolk Avenue when he was struck by a 1996 Lexus, being driven by James Andrews-Wells, 24, of Brentwood at 10:35 p.m.
Monterrosa was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.

Andrews-Wells and his two passengers were not injured and stayed at the scene.
The vehicle was impounded for a safety check. The investigation is continuing.
