Pedestrian Seriously Injured in Hit-and-Run Crash
The incident occurred on Sunday night.

CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A pedestrian was seriously injured in a hit-and-run crash in Central Islip on Sunday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Salvador Pocasangre, of Central Islip, was walking on the southbound shoulder of Route 111, at the intersection of Jewel Street, when he was struck by a car that fled the scene at 9:45 p.m., police said.
A passing motorist called 911 after seeing Pocasangre lying on the roadway, police said.

He was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore with serious injuries.
