Public Safety Honors Retiring Officer
Park Ranger Thomas Keane has been with the Town's Public Safety Department for more than 30 years.

Supervisor Angie Carpenter joined with the Town of Islip Public Safety Department, at a walk-out ceremony marking the retirement of Park Ranger Thomas Keane. Tom has been with the Town’s Public Safety Department for over 30 years, in that time serving as a Union Representative for the Park Rangers, as well as a leader and mentor to the younger rangers who joined the force. Throughout his tenure, Tom has had a positive influence on his fellow officers and members of the community.

“Tom has devoted more than 30 years to the public, ensuring their safety throughout our parks, roadways, marinas and beaches,” said Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter. “We wish him all the best in his future,” she added.
Supervisor Carpenter was accompanied by Public Safety Commissioner, Anthony D’Amico; Deputy Commissioner, Anthony Prudenti; Islip Park Rangers, and officers from the Suffolk County Police Dept.
