2 Arrested In Connection To Fatal Shooting In Copiague: PD

The two men were charged for the shooting of a 25-year-old found dead from multiple gunshot wounds earlier this week, police say.

COPIAGUE, NY — Two men were arrested on Friday in connection to a fatal shooting in Copiague earlier this week, according to Suffolk Police. Following an investigation, detectives arrested David Nolan and Christopher Mohan for the murder of Jewuel Hanson, police said.

On Wednesday, officers responded to Court Street at 3:50 p.m. after a 911 caller reported a man had been shot. When officers arrived they found Hanson, 25, of Lindenhurst, dead from multiple gunshot wounds.

Nolan, 22, of Rosedale, and Mohan, 29, of West Babylon, were both charged with second degree murder, police said. They will be held overnight at the First Precinct and are scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on February 22.
