Senior Advocates To Visit Islip Libraries, Housing Sites This Winter

ISLIP, NY — Tom Donnelly and the Suffolk County Office for the Aging have announced the Winter 2026 Senior Advocate schedule for residents in the Town of Islip.

“It is so important for us to provide our senior citizens with the assistance and information they need in ways that are most convenient to them,” Donnelly said.

• Bay Shore Library, 1 S. Country Road, Brightwaters: Friday, March 20, 10 a.m. – noon
• Bishop McGann Housing, 200 Bishop McGann Drive, Central Islip: Mondays, Jan. 26, Feb. 23, and March 30, 10 a.m. – noon
• Brentwood Senior Nutrition Center, 16 Second Ave., Brentwood: Fridays, Feb. 13 and March 13, 11:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.
• Connetquot Library, 760 Ocean Ave., Bohemia: Thursday, March 12, 10 a.m. – noon
• East Islip Library, 381 E. Main St., East Islip: Monday, Feb. 9, 10 a.m. – noon
• Islip Library, 71 Monell Ave., Islip: Monday, March 9, 10 a.m. – noon
• St. Anne’s Gardens, 100 Second Ave., Brentwood: Thursday, Feb. 19, 8:30 a.m. – noon

Advocates assist with SNAP, Medicare Savings Program, and HEAP applications.
