Suffolk County Woman Dies After House Party

The woman was found unconscious in her home Sunday morning, police say.

Police are investigating the death of a Central Islip woman who was found unconscious in her home Sunday morning after holding a house party the night before, police say.

According to authorities, Shantel Scott, 27, was discovered by other residents inside the 28 Naples Ave. home and was transported by private vehicle to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where she was pronounced dead.

An autopsy will be performed by the Office of the Suffolk County Medical Examiner at a later date to determine her cause of death.

Detectives are asking anyone with information on this incident to call the Homicide Squad at 631-852-6392 or anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
