20-Year-Old Woman Seriously Injured After DWI Crash In Islip: PD
A man was driving while intoxicated when he crashed, seriously injuring the 20-year-old passenger, police said.

ISLIP, NY — A 20-year-old woman is seriously injured on Thursday, after a driver crashed into a highway median while intoxicated, Suffolk County police said.
Tevin Allen, 24, of Amityville, was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated on Thursday, police said.
Around 1:15 a.m. Thursday, Allen was driving a 2018 Nissan on the eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway when he lost control of the vehicle, which struck the median a half-mile west of Commack Road, police said.

The 20-year-old passenger was taken to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore for treatment of serious injuries, police said.
Allen is scheduled to appear Thursday in Central Islip district court.
