
BRENTWOOD, NY - A Brentwood teen was arrested after shooting a pellet gun at a cop car in Brentwood on Thursday night, according to Suffolk Police.
Two Third Precinct officers were walking toward their police car after a traffic stop at the corner of Heyward Street and Madison Avenue at 11:45 p.m. when a front seat passenger in a car fired a pellet gun multiple times at the police car.
The officers, who were in close proximity, were not injured, police said

The officers pulled the car over and arrested the front seat passenger, 19-year-old Daniel Rodriguez, police said.
A further investigation determined Rodriguez also fired the pellet gun that struck a parked car on Walter Street in Brentwood at 11:30 p.m., police said.

Rodriguez was charged with second degree reckless endangerment and criminal mischief, police said.
He was held overnight at the Third Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned on Friday.
