Teen Hospitalized After Crashing Car on Southern State: Police
The crash occurred Thursday morning.

ISLIP TERRACE, NY - A Central Islip teen was hospitalized after crashing her car on the Southern State Parkway in Islip Terrace on Thursday morning, according to State Police.
Tnia Dickerson, 18, was driving a 2005 Chevrolet Malibu on the parkway between Exit 43A and 43 when she lost control of the vehicle and drove onto the shoulder, police said.

The front end of the vehicle ended up face down in the ground.

The Islip Terrace Fire Department had to brace the car in order to remove her safely.
She was taken to Southside Hospital for a non-life threatening leg injury.
