Town Of Islip Declares State Of Emergency

TOWN OF ISLIP, NY - Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter has declared a State of Emergency on Wednesday night as snow continues to fall in the area. To

wn snow removal crews are out in force, in full plow operation. In order to allow for a safe and effective process, residents must move all vehicles off of the road or risk ticketing.

In addition, prior heavy rainfall combined with Wednesday's snowfall have created a risk for downed trees.

Town officials are advising to exercise caution, and to avoid going outdoors unless absolutely necessary.
