Town Of Islip To Kick Off 335th Birthday Celebration This Week

ISLIP, NY - The Town of Islip will be kicking-off its 335th birthday with a celebration this week.

The event will take place on Thursday, Nov. 29, when Islip Supervisor Angie Carpenter, along with Town officials, “flip the switch” illuminating the Town Hall Cupola bright blue.

The lighting will begin at 4 p.m. at Islip Town Hall on 655 Main Street.

The lighting of the Town Hall Cupola will be the first in a series of events surrounding the Town’s Birthday.

Thursday’s event will include a performance by the Brentwood High School Marching Band, along with an appearance by LI Ducks Official Mascot, Quacker Jack.
