Town Of Islip Residents To Elect Fire Commissioners

Three different hamlets within the Town of Islip will be electing commissioners for their respective districts this week.

ISLIP, NY - Residents within the Islip Terrace, East Islip and Islip fire districts will be hitting the polls to elect a new commissioner this week.

All polls will be open on Tuesday, Dec. 12 from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m.

The Islip fire district will be holding their election on 28 Monell Avenue. Residents can choose between incumbent Fred Herrmann or challenger Carmine Paolicelli.

In East Islip, residents can cast their vote at the department headquarters on 30 E Main Street. Jerry Leigh and Matthew Maroney will both be running for an open seat. The winner will be elected to a five-year term.

Islip Terrace residents will be voting at the 345 Manhattan Boulevard. Incumbent Thomas Conners is running against Keith Miller and Matthew Taylor for a five-year term. In addition, John Faracco and Bart Gugel will be running for a three-year-term.
