Two Firefighters Hospitalized After Suffolk County House Fire
One resident was also hospitalized after the fire on Sunday morning.
CENTRAL ISLIP, NY - A resident and two firefighters were hospitalized after a massive house fire in Central Islip on Sunday morning, according to Suffolk Police.
The fire broke out at a home on Bushwick Avenue at about 2:15 a.m.
There were several people in the home at the time of the fire, but all escaped.

One occupant suffered chest pains and was transported to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore.
The two firefighters suffered burns. One was airlifted and one transported by ground, both to Stony Brook University Hospital.

All injuries are considered non-life threatening, police said.
The investigating is ongoing but at this point, the cause of the fire appears non-criminal in nature.
