Police: Woman Arrested After Robbing Suffolk County Bank

UPDATE 10:55 p.m. Thursday: Police say they have arrested 51-year-old Annette Vogelfang, of Brentwood, in Wednesday's robbery. She is charged with third degree robbery.

She will be held overnight at the Fourth Precinct and is scheduled to be arraigned at First District Court in Central Islip on Friday.

BRENTWOOD, NY – Police are searching for a woman who robbed a bank in Brentwood Wednesday afternoon.

According to police, the woman entered the Citibank located at 710 Suffolk Ave. around 1:45 p.m., approached a teller and displayed a note demanding cash. The teller complied with the demand and the woman fled on foot.

The robber is described as white, about 5-foot-2, with a stocky build. She was wearing a pink scarf over the top of her head that draped down past her shoulders, white sunglasses, a white T-shirt, faded blue jeans, and several rings on her hand. She was carrying an oversized light-colored tote bag.

Police are asking anyone with information to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS. All calls will remain confidential.
