JAMAICA, NY — A state assemblywoman will host an annual Community Day and Back-to-School Giveaway in Queens next weekend.
The event will be hosted by New York State Assemblywoman Alicia Hyndman on Saturday, Sept. 12 at PS 38Q, 135-241 Street from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Activities will include a bouncy house, live music and other family-friendly entertainment, along with a back-to-school giveaway designed to help local students prepare for the new school year.
The Community Day and Back-to-School Giveaway is supported by local elected officials and community partners, including Queens Borough President Donovan Richards Jr., Queens District Attorney Melinda Katz, State Senator Leroy Comrie, Assemblymembers Clyde Vanel and Khaleel Anderson, Deputy Speaker Diana Williams, and Councilwoman Selvena Brooks-Powers.
