Burglar Steals Cash Register From Jamaica Restaurant: NYPD
The man walked into the Guatemalan restaurant through an unlocked front door and left with around $150, police say.
JAMAICA, QUEENS -- Cops are searching for a burglar who walked right into a Jamaica restaurant through an unlocked front door and left with its cash register.
The man rolled up the security gate of Restaurante y Panaderia Guatelinda just before midnight on Jan. 10 to find the front door of the Guatemalan restaurant at 170-18 Jamaica Ave. was already unlocked, cops said.
Once the man was inside, he grabbed the cash register and fled through the restaurant's back door, according to surveillance footage released by the NYPD. The man made off with around $150, police said.

Police described the suspect as a man who was last seen wearing a dark hooded sweater, a dark jacket and light blue jeans.
