A pedestrian was hit by a car midday Friday in Jamaica, authorities said.
JAMAICA, QUEENS — A pedestrian was hit by a car midday Friday in Jamaica, authorities said.
A person was struck by 143-04 101st Ave. about 12:30 p.m., according to the FDNY.
Police and fire department officials said they didn't know the victim's condition or details of the crash. Police said the incident didn't appear to be serious because the Collision Investigation Squad didn't get called to the scene.

Emergency responders rushed the individual to Long Island Jewish Medical Center, an FDNY spokesman said.
