Jamaica Resident Stabbed Over Rent Money: NYPD
A 23-year-old Jamaica man was arrested for stabbing the victim during an argument about rent money, police said.
JAMAICA, QUEENS — A Jamaica resident was stabbed four times following an argument about rent money Thursday night, police said.
Jean Lubrun, 23, was arrested for stabbing the victim with a kitchen knife in the back, shoulder, right arm and left leg, according to police. Lubrun and the victim, who live together in Jamaica, were in their apartment arguing about rent money around 10 p.m. Thursday when they began pushing each other, a police spokesperson said. Lubrun then stabbed the victim, who was brought to Jamaica Hospital and is in unknown condition. The victim's name was not released.
Lubrun was charged with assault with intent to cause serious injury, police said.
