A woman died after setting herself on fire in the backyard of a Rosedale home, according to police.
ROSEDALE, QUEENS — A woman died after setting herself on fire in the backyard of a Rosedale home, according to police.
The 48-year-old woman was unconscious and had burns all over her body when first responders found her about 1:30 a.m. Tuesday at a home on 147th Drive, police said. They pronounced her dead on the scene.
A preliminary investigation found that the woman had set herself on fire, according to police.

The woman, whose name hasn't been released, had been staying there with relatives leading up to her death, a police spokesman said.
The woman had shown signs of depression due to an impending divorce, QNS.com reported.
