Health officials say these are among dozens of recent rabies cases in Suffolk County and are reminding Kings Park neighbors to avoid handling wildlife and report any raccoons acting strangely to authorities.

Serial Kings Park Bank Robber With 'No Funny Business' Demand Note Headed Back To Prison: DA (newsbreak.com) — A Kings Park man with a long history of bank robberies has been sentenced to five-and-a-half to eleven years in state prison after admitting to two more Flagstar Bank heists in West Babylon and Deer Park. Prosecutors say he was caught the same day as the second robbery with cash, a demand note, and cocaine, and he also faces separate harassment and menacing charges.

High school roundup: Soccer, field hockey, volleyball and boys golf (newsday.com) — Kings Park boys and girls soccer teams both saw action Thursday, with the boys edged 2-1 by Sayville in overtime while the girls shut out Southampton 2-0 behind strong goalkeeping.
