Bail Set For Kings Park Man Charged With Murder

Accused set to appear before judge again on Thursday.

 The man who police have arrested for his alleged role in the killing of a Brentwood man in a June 5 pool hall fight was arraigned on Tuesday with bail being set at $250,000 cash or $500,000 bond according to his attorney.

Police say Jevani Guzman-Hernandez, 26 and Jairon A. Gonzals-Martinez, 23 of Brentwood, killed Rumalso Bethancourt-Lopez, 29, in a fight outside of the Fiesta Poll Hall in Brentwood.

Bethancourt-Lopez died from a head trauma allegedly sustained during the fight, and Gonzales-Martinez was arrested shortly after the brawl.

Another man, Ramiro Garcia, of Central Islip, was injured in the fight.

Jeovani Guzman-Hernandez will appear before the judge next on June 24.
