Ahmed Selim began his career in Ballroom Dancing at the age of 13. Over the past 20 years he has participated and won several American Style Ballroom and Latin Pro/Am competitions in New York and New Jersey. Introduced to Cuban-style Salsa/Rueda de Casino in 1997, he acquired a newfound love for the style. Since then he was dedicated to bringing Cuban style salsa to Long Island and has participated as a guest instructor for theDallas Bachata Festival and the Bay Area Salsa Rueda Festival. He is also a featured dancer in The Quick & Dirty Guide to Salsa - Part 4, Team Dancing instructional DVD video. In 2009, he made his film debut in "Dirty Salsa - The Movie". In 2010, Ahmed obtained his certification in Drums Alive® and licensing for Zumba® Fitness.
