Everyday Hero: Kings Park Resident Kimberly Revere

This week's Everyday Hero is a local resident who works to educate and prevent drug use and abuse in the area.

Do you know someone making a difference in our community? Patch wants to tell that person's story in a series we're calling "Everyday Heroes." We are looking to share inspirational and uplifting stories of people who work to change others' lives for the better.

  • We were on a board together and live in the same community.

  • She volunteers for many, many drug prevention and awareness meetings, seminars, classes and fundraisers. She goes to Albany to advocate for better drug laws and is in close contact with the police precinct, congressmen and the community to make Kings Park and everywhere the best, cleanest, drug free, safest place to live. She is retired from work for the state and is president of Kings Park in the know. Kim is so dedicated, driven, caring, educated and really goes above and beyond to bring awareness to not just Kings Park, but everywhere.

Why do you feel this person is an Everyday Hero:

  • She sets up programs in our district to educate and prevent drug use and abuse. She goes all over to hand out any information needed for anybody that needs help and is addicted. Kim goes to Albany to fight for better laws. She goes to police meetings to stay educated and up to date. Kim hosts fundraisers and is always supporting others.
