More than a dozen area homes have suffered fence damage due to vandalism over the past two months according to reports filed with the Suffolk County police department.
The latest spree of vandalism hit four homes and occurred over the past two weeks to homes on 9th Avenue, Bristol Lane, Boxwood Drive and Fireplace Drive.
A police spokesperson said that the Fourth Precinct is aware of the issue and that officers have been instructed to look for this type of activity in the area. According to police, patrol checks-ins have been put in place in targeted areas in the community.
