Kings Park Farmers Market Readies for 2nd Annual Fall Festival

Baking contest, cook book signing and cooking demonstrations happening Saturday.

 

Fall festivities will be underway this Saturday at the Kings Park Farmers Market during their second annual fall festival.

The festival, which kicks off at 9 a.m. is packed with fall activities including a baking contest, a book signing with Leann Lavin, author of The Hamptons and Long Island Homegrown Cookbook and cooking demonstrations with Nance Vallarell of What’s Cooking in Smithtown.

For the kids there will be goody giveaways, pumpkin painting and a day long costume parade, which includes pets and live music with Joanne Amante, and Bobbie Ruth.

“The Kings Park Civic Association is very excited to be teaming up with Friends and Farmers Inc. again this year to bring this wonderful event to our community,” said Sean Lehmann, president of the civic association.

The market is open every Sunday from 9 a.m. until 2 p.m. throught Nov. 18 and is located in the municipal parking lot across from the firehouse on Rt. 25A.

  •  Baking contest drop off, 9 a.m.- 11 a.m. Judging at 12:30 p.m.
  •  Book signing with Leann Lavin, 11 a.m.- 1 p.m.
  •  Cooking demonstration, 11 a.m.
